Currently, the sterling is sitting on a 1968 VW 4 speed, an 1835cc bug motor that I built about 5 years ago. It has 2 dual throat Delorto carbs, 044 big valve heads, a medium/almost hot cam, heads and intake manifolds ported and polished, a knifed, countersank, balanced and counterweighted crankshaft, a lightened and balanced flywheel, and forged pistons and connecting rods that were grammed in to each other. |
